I am proud to offer custom made dinnerware sets for pottery-loving newlyweds. This service works just like any other registry, in that couples will include the web address of their own page on botbylpottery.com in their wedding or shower invitations.
Family and friends can then log on to the couple's page and choose from pottery the couple has selected. Upon completion, pieces will then be shipped to the gift giver's address or directly to the couples new address. Here's how ordering works...
If you click here or on the examples link below, you will see examples of many of my dinnerware and serving pieces. Couples can scroll through the images and (for example) say "We would like 12 square dinner plates, dessert plates, facetted soup/cereal bowls, salad bowls, a cream and sugar set, 3 serving bowls, a quart pitcher, wine glasses .....etc., etc." Upon the completion of your wishlist, e-mail me with your contact information and I will call you to discuss your order in greater detail. We can discuss glazes at this time as well.A few things to consider...
1. Be generous with yourself. While you may regularly serve 2, 3, or 4 people, consider entertaining and the presentation of a cohesive set.
2. While I can replace any piece that may break during daily use, (accidents happen) clay and glaze materials change slightly as they are mined from different parts of the earth.
This opens the possibility that your replacement pieces will be slightly different from the rest of your set. Again, recieving these pots as gifts only happens once, so be generous with yourself.3. As an insurance policy for myself I require a credit card number to be held in case any items are left after the wedding day passes. I allow 30 days after the wedding for straggling gift givers to get in gear and after that the remaing pieces will be billed to your account and shipped promptly.
To date this situation has never happened, and I ask that you would respect this request as it is my only insurance.
4. This is a one man operation. I say that to ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship on every one of your pieces.
Every piece is handled solely by me during every part of the process. All of my pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe and individually signed by me.
There is a minimum order of 40 pieces and I need sufficient notice if your order is to be finished by your wedding day.
I look forward to working with you! contact eric at BotbylPottery com
