WTRAC 2007 Invitational

A selection of large wood-fired pots from my most recent firing will be shown this summer at the West Tennessee Regional Arts Center. The exhibition is in conjunction with West Tennessee's historic Strawberry Festival in downtown Humboldt. Five regional artists have been invited for this year's exhibition and I'm honored to be a part of the the show. For more information please check out WTRAC's website at http://www.wtrac.tn.org/

New Kiln Complete

This January some very faithful friends and I completed construction on a new wood burning kiln at my home in West Tennessee. The kiln's design is similar yet smaller than the Union Kiln (see below) which allows me to fire more often. Our second firing was a wild success, dropping cone 12 (2,400+ F) in the center of the kiln in just 23 hours. Yeeeeehaw! We will continue experimentation with different woods and lengths of firing. Look for new pots from this kiln in the store section above specified "woodfired".

Wood Kiln
In the spring of 2004 Eric was invited to design and build a massive hybrid wood kiln in conjunction with Prof. Aaron Lee Benson and advanced ceramics students at Union University.
The kiln is a 7ft x 5ft catenary arch which extends aproximately 16ft deep and fires to cone ten in 15-20 hours flat. Pictures of the kiln can be seen under the STUDIO & KILNS page.

Ceramics Monthly Magazine
Eric's sculptural work was featured in the February 2003 issue of Ceramics Monthly Magazine. CM is considered to be the world's most widely read ceramics publication. It's an honor CM, thanks!
